Tehama County, California (May 6, 2019) – A driver was seriously injured after a head-on collision early Monday morning in the area of Tehama County, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The collision was reported at 5:51 a.m. Monday, on Golden State Highway 99, near Vina Road.

As per the dispatch, a motorist in a Toyota or Honda was allegedly speeding prior to the collision with a Ford F-150 pickup truck and silver Nissan Sentra. The motorist reportedly passed another driver by driving into oncoming traffic.

Tehama California Fire Department officials along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the Nissan driver who sustained severe injuries following the crash. The total number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.

All vehicles sustained significant front-end damage as a result of the crash.

No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
