Rider Dies in San Diego Country Estates Motorcycle Accident on San Vicente Road near Vista Vicente Drive
San Diego Country Estates, California (May 2, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon in a collision with an SUV near Ramona in the San Diego Country Estates area, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened shortly before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 on San Vicente Road near Vista Vicente Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was speeding his 2001 Yamaha R-1 eastbound on San Vicente Road when he crashed into the driver’s side of a 2018 Lincoln sport utility vehicle that entered the roadway from Vista Vicente Drive.

Paramedics responded to the scene and performed aggressive cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Despite aggressive lifesaving measures, the rider was pronounced at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
Witnesses told authorities the rider was doing wheelies and veering dangerously around slower-moving eastbound vehicles just before the accident. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
