One Driver Injured in Corona Rollover Crash on Interstate 15 near Temescal Canyon Road

Corona, California (May 1, 2019) – One driver was injured Wednesday evening in a traffic accident involving two vehicles near Corona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on Interstate 15, just north of Temescal Canyon Road and south of Corona.
The CHP said a red SUV collided with a dark-colored sedan on northbound Interstate 15 when one of the drivers was trying to merge into an occupied lane.
The force of the impact caused the sedan to roll over in the No. 3 lane while the SUV came to a stop in the center median.

The occupant of the sedan was trapped inside the wreckage after the crash and had to be freed by Good Samaritans. The victim was then transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar with moderate injuries.
The occupants of the SUV were not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
