25-Year-Old Woman Injured in San Diego County Car Accident on El Camino Real between San Dieguito Road and Sea Country Lane

San Diego County, California (April 28, 2019) – A 25-year-old woman injured Sunday morning in a head-on collision in San Diego County, according to a local news source.
The accident, which was reported at about 10:04 a.m., happened on El Camino Real between San Dieguito Road and Sea Country Lane. The area is near the San Dieguito River and just west of Del Mar.
Authorities said a 17-year-old boy was driving northbound on El Camino Real at a high rate of speed when he hit a car driven in the opposite direction by a 25-year-old woman. The force of the impact caused the woman’s car to drift off the roadside.

Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the woman who was trapped inside her car. She was then taken to a hospital with a fractured pelvis.
The male driver was not injured in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
