Christopher Mack Dies in Torrance Motorcycle Collision on Pacific Coast Highway

Torrance, California (April 26, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a car collision in Torrance Tuesday morning has been identified as 29-year-old Christopher Mack of San Pedro, according to a local news source.

The accident was reported at about 9:35 a.m. April 23, on Pacific Coast Highway.

The accident happened when a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling on the highway made a left-hand turn in front of a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Mack. Mack was allegedly racing another vehicle believed to be a light silver/gray newer model Dodge Charger just before the accident.

Mack sustained life-threatening injuries following the accident. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver suffered moderate injuries and was treated at the scene, as per the police.

The driver of the Dodge Charger did not stop after the crash.

The police said drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash but overspeeding might have contributed.

The crash remains under investigation.
