Sacramento, California (April 22, 2019) – 30-year-old John Robinson was one of several people injured in a traffic collision in Sacramento on Saturday evening.
The multi-vehicle collision, which was reported at about 5:15 p.m. April 20, occurred in the area of 24th Street and 69th Avenue.
According to a local news source, the accident happened when a vehicle driven by Robinson collided with a sedan which allegedly ran a red light at the intersection. Due to the impact of the collision, the sedan continued and struck three more vehicles that were on the other side of the intersection.

A total of six people were injured following the wreck. They were all attended to by the paramedics along with fire department officials. Two out of the six victims were listed in critical condition while the other four, including Robinson, his son and fiancé, sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the sedan abandoned his car and tried to flee on foot but the police caught him.
The authorities are still carrying out an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
