At Least 1 Killed in San Juan Capistrano Traffic Crash on Ortega Highway 74
San Juan Capistrano, California (April 22, 2019) – At least one person was killed in a traffic collision that involved two vehicles in San Juan Capistrano Monday morning.
The two-vehicle accident was reported at about 5:30 a.m., on Ortega Highway 74 near Caspers Wilderness Park.
The California Highway Patrol report indicated that a truck collided with a white Dodge for reasons not yet determined.
Fatal San Juan Capistrano Traffic Crash Kills 1
At least one person was confirmed dead following the accident. Limited information regarding the accident has been released to this time.
The two vehicles sustained major damage as a result of the collision. They were later towed by the police for evidence.
The highway was closed at Gibby and Antonio for roughly two hours as the officials carried out the investigation. The crash remains under an active investigation.
