Redding, California (April 17, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Redding, police said.
The accident happened at about 3:20 p.m. in the area of Lake Boulevard at North Market Street.
According to the police, the bicyclist and a pickup were involved in the collision.

The bicyclist, only identified as a man, sustained a head injury. He was alert and conscious, authorities said.
Police closed westbound lanes while investigating the cause of the accident.
