2 Drivers Injured, 1 Seriously in Lakeside Car Crash on Wildcat Canyon Road near Barona Road

Lakeside, California (April 17, 2019) – Two drivers were hospitalized Tuesday night following a traffic accident north of Lakeside near Barona Casino, according to authorities.
The wreck occurred shortly before 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 on Wildcat Canyon Road near Barona Road, just south of the casino.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Lexus sedan and a Ford Thunderbird convertible were involved in the collision. The force of the impact caused one of the vehicles to roll over.

One of the drivers sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital. The other motorist was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The names of the patients at this time were not immediately disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
