Minor Injuries Sustained in Benicia Car Accident on 780 Freeway near Southampton Road

Benicia, California (April 12, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in the area of Benicia, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 6:55 a.m. Friday, on westbound 780 Freeway, just west of Southampton Road on-ramp.
As per the CHP officials, a white minivan crashed into a small dark sedan that was parked on the right-hand shoulder prior to the crash.

One party reportedly got off the minivan and fell on the ground blocking lane 1. An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties.
The total number of victims and their current condition were not immediately available.
The minivan sustained moderate front damage while the sedan had significant rear-end damage following the crash.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
All lanes were opened as of 7:25 a.m.
No other information concerning this incident was provided.
