4 Injured in Head-On Crash on River Road in Sonoma County
4 Hospitalized after River Road Car Accident near Old Trenton Road
Sonoma County, California (April 9, 2019) – Four people were injured Monday morning in a traffic accident in unincorporated Sonoma County northwest of Santa Rosa, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck happened at about 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8 on River Road near Old Trenton Road.
According to the CHP, a vehicle was traveling on River Road when it crossed over the center divider and collided head-on with an oncoming car. The cars were described as a white Ford sedan and white Infiniti SUV.
Injury Car Accident on River Road near Santa Rosa Monday
The male driver of one of the vehicles involved, who was the sole occupant, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. Three occupants of the other vehicle sustained unknown injuries and were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
The names and their condition were not immediately reported.
All lanes of River Road in the area were shut down as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
