16-Year-Old Girl Hurt in Santa Rosa Crash on Hoen Avenue

Santa Rosa, California (April 7, 2019) – A 16-year-old girl was struck and injured by a vehicle in Santa Rosa on Friday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on April 5, at 4040 Hoen Avenue.
The crash happened when a Kia Optima driven by a 14-year-old boy slammed into the wall of an apartment building where the young girl was standing. The teen was reportedly trapped between the driver’s side door and the building.
The girl, who was outside the car, was attempting to teach the boy how to drive when the boy put the car into drive hence striking the girl.
Girl Hospitalized after Santa Rosa Car Crash
The collision resulted in moderate injuries to the teen. She was rescued by the first responders who immediately rushed her to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The CHP cited the boy for driving without a license.
No further details were released concerning the accident.
