Mission Beach, California (April 3, 2019) – A man was taken to a hospital with major injuries following a collision between a bicycle and a scooter in mission Beach on Tuesday afternoon, according to a police report.

The incident happened near Ocean Front Walk and San Luis Obispo Place at about 4:30 p.m. April 2.

Police said a 55-year-old man was riding a bicycle southbound on the boardwalk when he collided with a northbound 27-year-old man riding a scooter.

The older man was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. The other rider was unhurt.

The identities of the parties involved in this accident were not released.
