Escondido Driver Killed in Valley Center Car Crash on Valley Center Road near Lilac Road
Valley Center, California (April 1, 2019) – A 52-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Valley Center on Sunday night, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at about 7:38 p.m. March 31, on Valley Center Road south of Lilac Road.
According to the news source, a Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Valley Center Road when it tried to pass and sideswiped a southbound Ford Fusion. The Chevrolet then swerved off the right side of the roadway, slammed into a fence and rolled down an embankment.
Man Killed in Valley Center Two-Vehicle Accident
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 52-year-old man from Escondido, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
The two teenage occupants of the Ford were unhurt.
The police are working to determine the cause of the wreck.
