Tow Truck Driver Possibly Killed in Sacramento Accident on Highway 50 near Pioneer Bridge

Sacramento, California (March 27, 2019) – A tow-truck driver is believed to have been killed following a crash which sent the truck into the Sacramento River on Tuesday night.
The accident was reported at about 8:30 p.m. March 26, on the westbound lanes of Highway 50, according to a local news source.
As per the report, a tow truck and a semi-truck collided on the roadway for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision sent tow truck over Pioneer Bridge and crashed into Sacramento River.
Possible Fatal Accident on Sacramento River
Search crews were able to locate the truck but had to call off recovery efforts since the water conditions were too dangerous.
