Minor Injuries Sustained after El Centro Big Rig Crash on Highway 111 near Evan Hewes Highway
El Centro, California (March 27, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported after a big rig collision Tuesday afternoon in the area of El Centro, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 2:56 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, on southbound Highway 111, south of Evans Hewes Highway.
As per the CHP officials, two semi-trucks crashed for unknown reasons.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Authorities closed all lanes following the accident. The roadway was opened as of 4:33 p.m.
No other details regarding the incident were provided.
An investigation is underway.
