Woodland, California (March 26, 2019) – 18-year-old Mario Johnson of Woodland was among teens hurt when their vehicle collided with another, killing the driver of the second car on on Saturday night in Woodland, according to the CHP.

The fatal crash took place on Highway 98 near Highway 27 at about 8:20 p.m. March 23.

The CHP said a northbound Chevrolet veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Ford carrying five teens.

Johnson was among four passengers riding in the Ford at the time of the collision. He was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the Ford was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Kaiser Vacaville for treatment.

The Chevrolet driver died at the scene.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
