52-Year-Old Woman Dies in Ventura County Crash on Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road
Ventura County, California (March 25, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Ventura County early Sunday morning, according to the Ventura County Police Department.
The incident was reported shortly before 1:30 a.m. March 24, at Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road.
Police said a 52-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle at the intersection. It’s unclear what caused the crash.
Woman Dies in Ventura County Pedestrian Crash
Emergency crews responded to the incident and performed life-saving measures on the victim. She was then rushed to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased. Her identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
Police said alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
