Salvador Chavez Electric Wheelchair Rider Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Modesto
Salvador Chavez ID’d as Man In Electric Wheelchair Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Accident at Tully Road and Montclair Drive
Modesto, California (March 24, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle while trying to cross a Modesto intersection on an electric wheelchair Friday night has been identified as Salvador Chavez, 41, according to authorities.
The tragic accident happened at an unspecified time Friday, March 22 at the intersection of Tully Road and Montclair Drive.
Authorities said Chavez was crossing the intersection in his electric wheelchair when for an unknown reason he was hit by a vehicle.

Chavez was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
