Petaluma, California (March 24, 2019) – The suspected drunk driver who caused a traffic collision that injured four people Friday night in Petaluma has been arrested, authorities reported.

The hit-and-run crash happened at about 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 22 on North McDowell Boulevard at Rainier Avenue.

According to the police, Scott Ingerson, 45, of Petaluma, was driving his Hyundai sedan northbound on McDowell when he rear-ended a Toyota pickup that was stopped for a red light.

The impact force pushed the pickup into the rear of a Volkswagen SUV that was also stopped at the light

A woman and three children in the SUV complained of shoulder pain but were not hospitalized.

Police said Ingerson fled the scene after the crash. He was later located on Lassen Drive several blocks from the scene of the accident.

Ingerson was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of drunken driving and felony hit-and-run.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
