Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Montecito Vista Way near Montecito Vista Drive
San Jose, California (March 18, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck Monday morning in South San Jose, according to police.
The tragic accident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on Montecito Vista Way near Montecito Vista Drive.
Police said the man was crossing the street when he was hit by a 2014 Ford that was making a left turn from southbound Montecito Vista Way onto eastbound Montecito Vista Drive.
Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Monday in San Jose
The unidentified man was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
According to the police, the driver of the Ford, an adult male, stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Alcohol or drugs were considered a factor in the accident.
