Rider Hurt in San Jose Motorcycle Crash on Highway 87 at Charcot Avenue
San Jose, California (March 15, 2019) – A motorcyclist was struck and injured by a suspected hit-and-run driver in San Jose Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at around at 5:16 p.m. March 13, on Highway 87 near Charcot Avenue.
According to the CHP, a Toyota Prius and a motorcycle rider collided in the southbound lanes of the highway for reasons not yet revealed.
Motorcyclist Hurt in San Jose Hit-And-Run Crash
The extent of the injuries sustained by the man riding the motorcycle was not disclosed. The identity of the victim also remains unknown to this time.
The driver of the involved vehicle tried to escape after the wreck but the suspect was arrested.
The motorcycle was reported to have sustained major damages as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, the officials are gathering more information to determine the main cause of the accident.
