Janice Higashi ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in San Francisco Accident at Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street

San Francisco, California (March 15, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle last week Tuesday morning at an intersection in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood has been identified as Janice Higashi, 58, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at an unspecified time Tuesday, March 5 at the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Leavenworth Street.
As per the report, Higashi was crossing the street when for an unknown reason she hit by a vehicle traveling on Leavenworth Street.

Higashi was transported to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries Sunday, March 10.
Authorities said the 36-year-old man driving the vehicle involved was not arrested.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
