Danny Jay Chehaiber Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Gilman Drive in La Jolla
Danny Jay Chehaiber ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Gilman Drive
San Diego, California (March 8, 2019) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed Tuesday morning in a traffic accident in La Jolla as Danny Jay Chehaiber, 32, of San Diego.
The deadly accident happened at around 7:53 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 in the 8000 block of Gilman Drive.
Authorities said Chehaiber was riding a motorcycle northbound on Gilman Drive in the bicycle lane when he collided with a sports utility vehicle that was making a turn.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on Chehaiber. He was then taken to the Emergency Department of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 8:17 a.m.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
