Emmett MacCorkle Killed in Montecito Crash on Casa Dorinda Campus near Hot Springs Road
Montecito, California (March 5, 2019) – Police have released the name of the man struck and killed by a delivery truck on Saturday morning in Montecito.
Emmett Wallace MacCorkle, 77, died in the collision that was reported at about 10:25 a.m., March 2, on Casa Dorinda Campus at 300 Hot Springs Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a delivery truck driven by Randy R. EiqEiquihuauihua, 55, of Santa Barbara, had delivered the load and was backing up when it struck MacCorkle on the driveway.
MacCorkle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eiquihua was unhurt and remained at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
