62-Year-Old woman Killed in Newhall Bicycle Crash on Railroad Avenue and 15th Street
Newhall, California (March 2, 2019) – A 62-year-old woman riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday morning in Newhall, according to the Sheriff’s Santa Clarita Valley station.
The crash took place at about 7:05 a.m. March 1, at Railroad Avenue and 15th Street
Police said the crash occurred when a woman in her 50s was driving a vehicle and struck the rider for unknown reasons.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics attended to the woman and transported her to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
According to the police, the driver involved was not hurt.
The Sheriff’s Santa Clarita Valley station is carrying out an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
