Richmond, California (February 28, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision early late Wednesday night in the area of Richmond, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The collision happened at around 11:37 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, on westbound 80 Freeway, just west of Richmond Parkway.

As per the report, a Ford Mustang crashed into a white Nissan Rogue for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles was blocking lane 1 following the collision.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. One person was transported to Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Richmond for treatment of injuries of unknown degree. The victim’s name and their current condition were not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
