1 Person Sustains Major Injuries in Blythe Car Accident on 10 Freeway near Mesa Drive
Blythe, California (February 26, 2019) – One person sustained major injuries in a traffic crash in Blythe Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The collision was reported at around 5:07 p.m. Monday, February 25 on the Interstate 10 Freeway near Mesa Drive.
For an unknown reason, two vehicles collided on the 10 Freeway according to the authorities. Both vehicles went on fire after the impact.
Fire crews along with paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. The victim was then airlifted to a hospital.
The name and condition of the patient were not immediately released.
No other details were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
