2 Hospitalized after Vallejo Accident on Highway 37 near Sears Point
Vallejo, California (February 21, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in Vallejo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported at about 9:45 a.m. February 20, on Highway 37 near Sears Point.
According to the investigation by the police, a big rig was eastbound on Highway 37 when the tire came off and hit the windscreen of a Subaru, which was traveling on the same lane. The impact of the crash caused the Subaru driver to swerve into the path of oncoming traffic and struck a van.
Two people in the Subaru were injured and were both rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries was unknown.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
