Person Killed in Van Nuys Train Accident on Van Nuys Boulevard near Saticoy Street

Van Nuys, California (February 15, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday night in Van Nuys, according to authorities.
The deadly accident was reported at around 10:20 p.m. Thursday, February 14 in the 7700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, just north of Saticoy Street and near the Van Nuys train station.
Details are extremely limited, and it’s unknown what caused the accident.
First responders arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
