Person Killed in Indio Pedestrian Crash on I-10 near Jackson Street
Indio, California (February 11, 2019) – A person was struck and killed by a vehicle in Indio early Saturday morning, according to the CHP.
The incident took place at about 2:45 a.m. February 9 on I-10 west of Jackson Street.
CHP said the driver of a 2009 Honda notified the authorities that they had hit some object while traveling on the interstate.
Officers responded to the location and found the pedestrian. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear how long the motorist waited to notify the authorities. The report showed that the motorist contacted the authorities from their home.
The identities of the parties involved in the crash were not immediately released.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
