Khoa Ha Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in San Jose
Khoa Ha ID’d as Man Killed in Highway 101 Motorcycle Crash near Metcalf Road in San Jose

San Jose, California (February 4, 2019) – The Santa Clara County medical examiner has identified the man who was killed early Saturday morning in a traffic crash in San Jose as Khoa Ha, 41.
The deadly accident happened at around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2 on Highway 101, just south of Metcalf Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified woman was driving a Dodge Charger when she swerved to avoid debris in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.
The Dodge then spun out, became partially disabled and blocked the northbound lanes of traffic. The driver then turned on the Dodge’s hazard lights and attempted several times to get the vehicle started.
According to the CHP, Ha was riding a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 northbound on Highway 101 when he failed to see the disabled Dodge and slammed into the vehicle.
Ha was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the collision. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The Dodge driver was found not to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Investigators said it was raining at the time of the collision.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
