Chico, California (January 28, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision Monday evening in the area of Chico, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 5:41 p.m. Monday, at Highway 99 and Wilson Landing Road.
As per the CHP officials, a silver Ford Fusion and a Toyota Camry crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately available.
The Toyota sustained significant front-end damage following the collision.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Officials closed the northbound and southbound lanes following the collision. All the lanes were opened as of 6:11 p.m.
