Major Injuries Reported in Truckee Crash on State Route 89 near Squaw Valley
Truckee, California (January 27, 2019) – Major injuries were reported in a head-on collision on Saturday morning in Truckee, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened on State Route 89 between Squaw Valley and West River Street on Saturday, January 26.
No details were provided on how the vehicles collided.
The CHP said patients suffered major injuries. It’s unclear how many victims were hospitalized.
The crash caused a closure of SR 89 in both directions as the scene was examined and cleared.
The CHP is working to find out the cause of the crash.
