Motorcyclist Injured in Union City Crash on 880 Freeway near Alvarado-Niles Road Off-Ramp

Union City, California (January 25, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic crash in Union City, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 22 on the Interstate 880 Freeway near the Alvarado-Niles Road off-ramp.
The CHP officers received a report regarding a yellow Yamaha motorcycle and a Nissan Xterra which collided on the southbound 880 Freeway.
First responders arrived at the scene, and they found the rider who sustained minor injuries in the crash. It was immediately unclear if the victim was treated at the scene or was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
The bike sustained moderate damage as a result of the crash. The vehicle involved was seen in the center median after the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
