One Injured in Escondido Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 15 near Via Rancho Parkway

Escondido, California (January 24, 2019) – One person was injured in a crash between a car and a motorcycle police officer on Wednesday night in Escondido.
According to the CHP, the wreck happened at about 8:30 p.m. January 23 on Interstate 15 near the Via Rancho Parkway exit.
CHP said one of their officers was riding a motorcycle when it collided with a car.
One person sustained minor injuries.
It’s unclear whether the injured victim was an occupant of the car or the rider.
The crash caused a temporary closure of the on-ramp to I-15 as the scene was investigated.
The incident remained under investigation.
