Dereck Alexander ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Highland Crash at Sterling Avenue and 9th Street
San Bernardino County, California (January 22, 2019) – The bicyclist who was struck and killed a vehicle Monday night in Highland has been identified as Dereck Alexander, 53, of San Bernardino, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, January 21 at the intersection of Sterling Avenue and 9th Street.
Details on how the accident occurred were not immediately available, but authorities said Alexander was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
