Minor Injuries Reported in Stockton Big Rig Crash on 5 Freeway near Hammer Lane

Stockton, California (January 17, 2019) – Minor injuries were reported after a big-rig collision Wednesday night in the area of Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 8:34 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, on 5 Freeway near Hammer Lane off-ramp.
As per the CHP officials, a big rig and a sedan crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition remained unknown.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
The big rig was blocking all northbound lanes following the collision. The roadway was cleared as of 9:47 p.m.
