United States Postal Worker Injured after Whittier Dog Attack on La Forge Street

Whittier, California (January 16, 2019) – A female mail carrier was attacked by a loose mix-breed Pit Bull Tuesday last week in Whittier, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, in the 15800 block of La Forge Street.
As per the report, the United States Postal Service mail carrier was delivering a mail when she was knocked over and mauled by the dog. It was reportedly unclear why the dog stopped and attacked the victim; however, the dog owner finally located the dog.
Responding emergency teams treated the woman and transported her to the hospital for further treatment.
Officials questioned the victim and the dog owner but there are no pending criminal charges at this time.
An investigation is underway.
