One Dead in Madera County Crash on Highway 41 near Yosemite Lakes

Madera County, California (January 11, 2019) – One person was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Madera County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tragic accident, which was reported shortly after 7:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, happened on Highway 41, just south of Yosemite Lakes and north of Road 200.
Details on how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but the CHP said one person died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash caused the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 41 while the CHP investigated the collision. As of 11:00 a.m., the road was reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
