Taylor McCready Hurt, Titusville Florida Man Killed in Slab City Bicycle Accident on Beal Road
Slab City, California (January 7, 2019) – A Titusville Florida man was killed while 23-year-old Taylor Bing McCready was critically injured after a traffic collision Wednesday last week in the area of Slab City, according to authorities.
The deadly collision happened at around 7:52 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, on Beal Road near The Range dance club.
As per the officials, the man was riding a bicycle and towing a cart carrying McCready when they were hit by a pickup truck for unknown reasons. A dog that was either in the car or walking beside them was also involved in the collision.
The young man and the dog suffered fatal injuries and were declared dead at the scene.
McCready of Grant Pass, Oregon was transported to Desert Medical Center for treatment. She reportedly sustained a fractured arm, lacerations to her face and a partial amputation to her leg.
The pickup truck driver identified as 39-year-old Kenneth Riggs of Niland told officials that he was driving at approximately 50 mph when he hit the victims.
