Kerman, California (July 26, 2021) – 35-year-old Patricia Ayala has been identified as one of the two Kerman victims who sustained minor injuries following a fatal traffic collision Saturday night in Kerman.

The deadly head-on accident took place at around 8:15 p.m., on July 24, in the area of California Avenue and Howard Avenue.

The crash began when a 1995 Chevrolet pickup moving at a high rate of speed, westbound on the roadway, lost control, and swerved into the eastbound lane. The pickup then slammed head-on into a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 50-year-old Gary D. Burrows Jr. east on California Avenue.

Burrows Jr. and his passenger, Ayala, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Sadly, the speeding motorist and his passenger were declared deceased at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
