CHP Investigating Gilroy Accident on Highway 101 near Monterey Road

Gilroy, California (July 24, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that occurred on a highway in Gilroy Thursday morning.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 101 at Monterey Road in the morning hours.
It was not immediately established how a dark grey Tesla Model 3 and a white BMW sedan crashed on the roadway.

As per the CHP report, all the involved parties were attended to by medical personnel who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident.
At least one of the wrecked automobiles was towed away from the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
