Krisanne Caciola Among 3 Injured in Santa Ynez Valley Head-On Collision on Alamo Pintado Road near Adobe Canyon Road
Santa Ynez Valley, California (July 23, 2021) – Krisanne Caciola was among four people who were injured in an alleged DUI crash on May 21 in the Santa Ynez Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened just after 3:10 p.m. May 21, in the 1500 block of Alamo Pintado Road, just south of Adobe Canyon Road.
Samantha Hoobyar, 31, was driving her white GMC Terrain southbound on Alamo Pintado Road when she failed to safely navigate around a right-hand curve on the road, the CHP reported.
The GMC reportedly crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming Alfa Romeo driven by Angelo Caciola, 69, of Ballard.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage following the crash.

Krisanne Caciola, who was a passenger in the Alfa Romeo, and an 8-year-old girl in the GMC, were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Hoobyar was also taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital to be treated for her injuries before being arrested on suspicion of DUI.
On Tuesday, July 20, Hoobyar was charged with misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child, a felony count of driving under the influence of drugs causing injury, and special allegations of causing great bodily injury and injuring multiple victims.
Hoobyar pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released after she posted bail. Authorities ordered her back to court on August 19.
The crash remains under investigation.
