Victor Campos Dies in Fremont Bicycle Accident at Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way
Boy Killed in Bicycle Crash at Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way in Fremont ID’d as Victor Campos
Fremont, California (July 22, 2021) – The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has identified Victor Aleksander Campos, 15, of Fremont, as the boy who died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Fremont on Sunday night, July 4.
The bicycle accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. July 4, in the area of Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way.
According to the Fremont police, Campos was riding a bike in the area when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Fremont man.
Campos sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Impairment was not suspected to have been a factor in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
