Rancho Cucamonga, California (July 20, 2021) – A man was arrested after a DUI collision that left a woman dead in Rancho Cucamonga on July 10, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The accident happened in the area near Milliken Avenue and Base Line Road at around 5:13 p.m.

Authorities said Moises Reina, 32, was driving when he collided with three other vehicles in the intersection. One of the cars was pushed into the path of an eastbound vehicle and was hit by the vehicle.

The two occupants of the car that was hit were taken to a hospital with serious injuries and the passenger, Mia Johnson, 50, of Rancho Cucamonga, later died at the hospital.

Reina was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. He was also arrested on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, 2nd-degree murder and driving under the influence causing injury. His bail was set at $1 million.

The incident remains under investigation.
