Oxnard, California (July 20, 2021) – The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 13-year-old girl who died last week on Tuesday following a two-vehicle accident at an intersection in Oxnard as Jasmin Ramos Lopez, 13, of Oxnard.

The crash happened at around 2:00 p.m. on July 13 at the intersection of Rose Avenue and Gonzales Road.

Authorities said a white 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 truck was heading southbound on Rose Avenue when it collided with a silver 1999 Honda Civic that was making a left turn from northbound Rose onto westbound Gonzales Avenue.

13-Year-Old Killed in Oxnard Collision Identified

Lopez, who was in the front seat of the Honda, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Lopez’s mother, who was driving the car, and her 17-year-old brother in the backseat were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, a 38-year-old man, and his passenger, were not injured in the accident.

A GoFundMe page has been created to help cover funeral expenses for Lopez.
