Escalon, CA: CHP Investigating Deadly Crash on Mariposa and Dodds Roads
At Least 1 Killed in Escalon Crash on Mariposa Road and Dodds Road
Escalon, California (July 19, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a traffic collision that happened Sunday night at an intersection in Escalon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP said two vehicles collided at around 9:00 p.m. on E Mariposa Road and Dodds Road.
According to the authorities, a black Chevrolet pickup truck and a black SUV collided for unknown reasons, blocking the roadway.
Firefighters responded to the scene to find one person trapped inside one of the cars. That party was partially conscious.
The roadway was blocked to allow a helicopter that responded to help the victims.
CHP said one person was killed in the accident but did not give more details.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
