3 Tahoe Residents Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 50 in Kyburz
2 Drivers, 1 Passenger Hospitalized after Kyburz Crash on Highway 50 near Kyburz Drive

Kyburz, California (July 17, 2021) – Three Tahoe area residents were hospitalized Tuesday morning following a head-on collision in Kyburz, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, on Highway 50, just west of Kyburz Drive.
The CHP said a Toyota Camry driven by a South Lake Tahoe man, was heading eastbound on Highway 50 when, for an unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to cross over the double yellow lines into the opposite lane, directly into the path of a westbound Toyota Tundra.
Both vehicles ultimately collided head-on.
Minor Injury Traffic Crash on Highway 50 in Kyburz
The driver and passenger of the Tundra were taken to Marshall Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Camry was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The weather was considered a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
