Sacramento, California (July 16, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Friday morning at a Sacramento intersection, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
At about 3:00 a.m., authorities responded to the area of North 12th and North B streets to investigate the report of a pedestrian having been hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, the pedestrian, only identified as a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of kin.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
Police closed all lanes of North 12 Street while the investigation took place.
